Education
This program aims to support the education of students from poor families, by financing their expenses for tuition, boarding, and food, fully or partly. Our training programs for tribal, women or self-help groups would also fall under this.
Healthcare
There can be medical emergencies, surgeries or regular need for medications like for dialysis. Very poor families find it difficult to pay for these huge expenses. This program aims to support them.
Housing
Homelessness is still a massive problem. Many have neither land nor home. This program aims to supply a house plot or house for such families, also maintenance of existing houses.
Livelihood
This program aims to enable self-reliance by assisting them in their small-scale ventures to earn a living. Examples are to supply cows to those who can rear them, to supply tailoring machines to those who know tailoring.
Family Support
This program aims to provide cash for those who need it desperately. This becomes a genuine need during disaster situations, both for a society or family. As an example, during the mass flooding in Kerala in 2018, we witnessed that there were lots of volunteers and NGO’s supplying basic needs like clothing, and provisions. But those who were sick needed money to see a doctor, to buy medicines, to pay for transport, rent etc. In such cases, we arrange a one-off payment for them.
Such needs also arise for vulnerable families on a regular basis, whose members are not healthy enough to work to earn and to survive. In such cases, we organize regular monthly payments to such families, and visit them twice every year to ensure that their circumstances still merit such support.
Environment
This program aims to support environment by helping in proper waste management, protection of plants and forests.
